Indonesian Delegates Dominate at AWMUN X, Proving Global Competence

Eight students from Indonesia returned with top honors from AWMUN X, held in Kuala Lumpur. They competed against hundreds of delegates from across the globe, participating in simulated UN sessions on issues ranging from environmental policy to public health.

The conference highlighted critical global themes, including the 5th Industrial Revolution, and encouraged students to contribute innovative ideas through intense debates and negotiations.

IGN’s Muhammad Fahrizal praised the Indonesian team for demonstrating a high level of diplomacy and strategic thinking. He called their success “a clear sign that Indonesia’s youth are ready to take on the world stage.”

Because AWMUN is listed by the Ministry of Education’s National Achievement Center, the students’ awards will have meaningful weight in their future academic pursuits.

The students represented councils such as WHO, UNEP, and UNICEF and brought home awards like Best Position Paper and Honorable Mention.

Fahrizal believes the experience will not only shape their futures but also encourage more schools in Indonesia to support MUN participation.

From Java to Bali, the delegates showcased how diverse educational backgrounds can come together for international success.
