Jakarta – Indonesia’s legal sector continues to evolve with remarkable momentum as a new generation of law firms establishes itself as a formidable force. The Top 100 Indonesian Law Firms 2025 Awards, hosted by Hukumonline on June 20 at The Westin Jakarta, highlighted this transformation by honoring the most promising emerging firms in the country.
Among the most anticipated categories of the evening was Rising Star Law Firm of the Year, recognizing firms under five years old that have shown outstanding performance, credibility, and growth potential across full-service, litigation, and corporate law practices.
Badranaya Partnership, founded in 2022, took home the award for Rising Star Full-Service Law Firm of the Year. The firm now employs 27 legal professionals, including 3 Partners, 2 Senior Associates, and 20 Associates. Their rapid rise is credited to a combination of strong leadership, collaborative team culture, and a strategic focus on both litigation and advisory services.
Partner Bhirawa J. Arifi, in his acceptance remarks, credited the firm’s growth to the dedication of his team. “This recognition belongs to all our associates and staff who have walked this journey with us since 2022. It is their persistence and integrity that bring us to this stage today.”
In the Rising Star Litigation Law Firm category, Ganie & Partners (GAP)—established in 2023—earned accolades for its litigation strength and growing client base. With 22 fee earners, GAP is increasingly being sought for complex legal disputes. Vice Managing Partner Mohamad Bestari A. Ganie expressed gratitude for the trust placed in the firm, stating, “We dedicate this award to our clients and our hardworking team who continue to pursue legal excellence.”
Meanwhile, ATD Law in association with Mori Hamada was named Rising Star Non-Litigation/Corporate Law Firm of the Year. Founded in 2022 and comprising 14 fee earners, ATD Law has swiftly built a reputation in corporate legal advisory and cross-border transactions. Partner Abadi Abi Tisnadisastra acknowledged the role of international collaboration in their journey, noting, “This is a recognition not only of our team, but of the growing sophistication of Indonesia’s corporate legal services.”
The awards were based on rigorous methodology, involving academic research, firm submissions, and evaluation by a distinguished jury panel. Over 230 firms participated in this year’s selection process, which spanned 17 award categories.
Indonesia’s legal market is undergoing a dynamic shift as demand for specialized legal services continues to rise in tandem with its economic and regulatory complexity. The emergence of new firms excelling in client service, innovation, and workplace development signals a broader transformation in Southeast Asia’s professional services sector.
As regional and global businesses expand their operations across ASEAN, firms like Badranaya, GAP, and ATD Law are well-positioned to provide competitive, agile, and high-impact legal support that aligns with Indonesia’s fast-growing economy and legal maturity.
