The journey of Apple CEO Tim Cook in Indonesia continues post-meetings with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, and with Defense Minister and President-elect Prabowo Subianto. Amidst his engagements with the government, Cook still has a packed schedule in Indonesia. One notable agenda is the inauguration of the fourth Apple Developer Academy in the country, located in Bali. This move signifies Apple’s extended investment in Indonesia and provides greater opportunities for aspiring individuals to venture into careers within the iOS application industry. Prior to Bali, three Apple Developer Academies already exist in Indonesia, situated in Batam, Surabaya, and Tangerang. “We are launching the fourth Developer Academy, as announced yesterday. This academy will be based in Bali,” Cook stated during his visit to the Presidential Palace on Wednesday (17/4/2024). Apple asserts that the existing academies have produced numerous graduates who have demonstrated excellence in creating applications for the App Store. “We take pride in their accomplishments, having graduated thousands and developing App Store applications that are not only popular locally but also internationally. Hence, we are immensely thrilled,” he elaborated. Cook also underscored Indonesia’s vast potential and highlighted the myriad investment opportunities available. “I believe Indonesia offers tremendous investment potential. There are numerous promising investment destinations, and we are investing in them. We have confidence in this nation,” he reiterated.
