Jakarta, April 15, 2024 – PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry noted that the Lebaran 2024 return flow showed a positive trend with a total of 227,523 travelers who had returned to Java from Sumatra through ship crossings in the Thursday-Saturday period (April 11-13, 2024).
Although showing a positive trend, this figure only reached 27% of the total travelers who departed from Java during the Lebaran 2024 homecoming flow, which was 835,718 people. This shows that there are still many travelers who have not returned.
President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Ira Puspadewi, reminded travelers who are still in Sumatra to prepare well for the return trip which is expected to reach its peak on Monday (15/4) today.
“We urge all travelers who are still in Sumatra to prepare well for the return journey,” Ira Puspadewi said. “Make sure the vehicle is in top condition, obey traffic rules, and always prioritize safety on the trip.”
ASDP has made various efforts to optimize crossing services during the Lebaran 2024 return flow, such as increasing the number of ships, opening additional counters, and extending port operating times.
“We continue to strive to provide the best service for travelers,” said Ira Puspadewi. “We ask for patience and understanding from all travelers during the journey.”
