Shopee Introduces On-Time Guarantee for Orders Arriving Late

In response to consumer apprehensions regarding uncertain delivery times and the need for a dependable online shopping experience, Shopee has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative: the On-Time Guarantee program. This pioneering program is designed to instill confidence and reliability among users, especially in situations where physical inspection of products is impractical, a common challenge faced by many online shoppers.

Renowned artist and Shopee user, Vidi Aldiano, spoke about the advantages of the Shopee app while acknowledging occasional doubts, particularly concerning delayed deliveries. “One of my concerns has been the worry over delayed shipments leading to orders not arriving on time,” he shared. Aldiano expressed his satisfaction with the introduction of the On-Time Guarantee program, highlighting its potential to alleviate such apprehensions.

Launched in February, the On-Time Guarantee program promises timely delivery of orders to consumers. Should an order fail to meet the specified delivery date (the Guaranteed Arrival date), customers will receive a complimentary On-Time Guarantee voucher. This voucher can be claimed before the order status transitions to ‘completed’.

Monica Vionna, Director of Marketing Growth at Shopee Indonesia, emphasized the significance of user trust for Shopee. “We understand that receiving orders on schedule, or even ahead of schedule, is a key expectation for online shoppers,” she stated in a press release issued on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

Through this initiative, Shopee aims to foster a comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience for both buyers and sellers. By instilling confidence and certainty in the purchasing process, consumers are more inclined to make purchases, thereby benefiting sellers as well.

To optimize the benefits of the On-Time Guarantee program, Shopee provides users with useful tips. Firstly, users can check the estimated Guaranteed Arrival date on the product page by clicking on “View shipping details” or during the checkout process.

Secondly, users are advised to regularly monitor the status of their orders and estimated arrival times. Continuous tracking of the delivery status can help users stay informed about any potential delays.

Lastly, if the Guaranteed Arrival date has passed and the order has not yet been received, users can claim a discount voucher worth IDR 10,000. Claims can be made through the Order Details page, where the ‘claim’ option will be available. It is important to ensure that the voucher is claimed before the order status changes to ‘completed’. The voucher remains valid for 7 days after claiming and can be used for subsequent purchases.

With the introduction of the On-Time Guarantee program and the accompanying guidance provided by Shopee, users can navigate their online shopping experiences with confidence and peace of mind, knowing that their satisfaction is a top priority for the platform.
